What happens, step by step
The process begins with a call in which we choose the level of the test together and confirm it suits your pregnancy. We then book a blood draw at one of seven medical centres across Israel, or at your home. The sample goes to GGA laboratories in Israel for analysis, and the answer is delivered to you securely and in an orderly way, with an explanation and with guidance on the next step if one is needed.
Call and suitability
You get in touch, we explain the difference between Basic and Advanced, and you answer a few questions about the week and the details of your pregnancy. Where there are special circumstances, suitability is checked with the professional team before booking.
Booking the blood draw
We book a time at one of the medical centres, or a home visit. No doctor's referral is needed — the test is private and can be booked directly. No fasting, no preparation. A details and informed-consent form is completed beforehand.
Analysis in Israel
The sample is transported under the required conditions to GGA laboratories, owned by Savyon Diagnostics. The analysis is performed there using Illumina's VeriSeq NIPT Solution v2. The sample is not sent abroad.
The answer, with an explanation
The answer is delivered securely and in an orderly way. If it calls for further investigation, we explain the next step and refer you to genetic or medical counselling, and we stay with you through that too.
How long does the answer take?
The turnaround time is given to you when you book, along with all the practical details. We prefer not to publish a number on a website that is not accurate in every case, and to tell you on the call exactly what to expect in your pregnancy. What changes the meaning of any number is when the count starts, and we have written that out in full.

What to bring
- An ID document.
- The details and informed-consent form, sent to you in advance.
- If you have relevant records from your pregnancy, such as a recent ultrasound, it helps to have them to hand for the call.
- A doctor's referral is not required to take the test. For an insurance refund a document may be needed, and we will tell you exactly which.

Do I need a doctor's referral?
No. The test is private and you can book it directly. A referral or another document may be needed for an insurance refund, and we will tell you what applies to you.
Do I need to fast?
No. It is an ordinary blood draw, with no fasting and no preparation.
Does the test put the pregnancy at risk?
No. It is taken by an ordinary blood draw from the mother, with no contact with the pregnancy.
What if no result is produced?
Occasionally there is not enough pregnancy-derived DNA in the sample. In that case we follow the laboratory and medical guidance, and a repeat sample is sometimes needed. We will explain what it means and stay with you.
